Specsavers Braintree marked 15 years in the community at the weekend by raising funds for a local charity.
Prizes for PARC
The store donated money from each sight test to PARC, which provides play and support opportunities for children with special needs.
To mark the celebrations local residents were invited to join staff, many of whom have been with the business since the day it opened, for birthday cake and entertainment. Customers also took advantage of 25% off, and were in with the chance to win one of 10 pairs of designer glasses following the launch of their new GANT range.
45 years of serving the community
Store director Mike Bromidge says: ‘This is a very exciting year for us and we’re tremendously proud to have provided our services to the community for this long.
‘Not only does it mark 15 years for the store, but also for supervisor Lorraine Meek, dispensing optician Debbie Hardy, and me. That’s 45 years of service in total between just three people’.
PARC gives children with disabilities the chance and opportunities other children have, to have fun in a safe environment designed to meet their needs.
