Staff from Specsavers in Cheltenham recently supported a charity coffee morning for the Gloucestershire Eye Therapy Trust held at Emmanuel Church in Leckhampton on Saturday 21 April. The team offered a pair of Kylie Minogue specs as a raffle prize.
‘We’re always keen to go along to events like this,’ said PR co-ordinator, Emily Ashman. ‘Not only does it provide a great opportunity to speak with locals, it’s great to support this charity and raise awareness about eye health in the community.’
The Gloucestershire based charity is dedicated to supporting eye treatment and care in the community. The charity aims to develop the practice of diagnosis, treatment and care for people with eye diseases in Gloucestershire, and support research into prevention of eye disease in the future.
Throughout the year, Gloucestershire Eye Therapy Trust hold fundraising events including coffee mornings, open days at the hospital and awareness evenings.
