The team at Specsavers opticians in Wishaw dedicated the day to eye care for youngsters, carrying out kids’ eye tests and frame fittings so that their sight is in top notch condition for returning to school.
A magician was on hand to dazzle Lanarkshire children with some neat tricks and balloon shapes, there were colouring activities for kids to enjoy and staff came along in fancy dress, with characters such as Minnie Mouse, Princess Fiona and Super Girl all on hand to greet visitors to the store.
Customers browsed the wide range
Youngsters and their parents also had the chance to browse the wide range of kids’ glasses in store, with brands including The Gruffalo, LEGO®, Disney Princesses, Hello Kitty and Moshi Monsters.
Jonathan Dry, director at Specsavers said: ‘It was wonderful to dedicate a special day to our younger customers. 'Not only was it good fun for the children, it helped to get across that looking after your eyesight is really important, no matter your age.
'It’s vital that youngsters know how important it is to visit the opticians regularly, and that parents take an interest in their little ones’ eye health.'
