Bridgnorth Specsavers turned into secret agents to fundraise for a community swimming pool.

I wish I was James Bond, just for a day...

Staff at the Specsavers store gave James Bond a run for his money as they dressed up as spies on Saturday 25 April.

The team dressed up to raise awareness to stop the closure of Highley outdoor swimming pool in Highley, Shropshire. Staff members were armed with a collection bucket to collect any loose change from customers.

It’s bean good

In an effort to boost funds, Store Administrator Daniella Gardner bathed in a tub of baked beans earlier in the week. Staff at the store also dressed up as characters from the popular film franchise on Wednesday 22 April.

Fundraising until September

The pool needs to raise £120,000 by September so the store is helping to fundraise for this by taking donations from customers until then.

‘The swimming pool is a fundamental part of the Bridgnorth community,’ says store director, Teresa Hughes, Specsavers Bridgnorth. ‘When we heard about the threat of closure, we knew we had to rally up support.’
