The team at Specsavers in Ripley are focusing their efforts on eye health awareness on Saturday 16 July as they continue to raise essential funds for the Ripley Hospital Eye Clinic.

Having raised more than £300 to date, staff at the store are keen to continue their efforts. Customers and passers-by will be treated to glasses cases and goodies, and the team will be on hand throughout the day with information about the importance of eyecare.

An important aspect of overall health

‘We are keen to show our local community that eyecare is an important aspect of overall health, as well as offer some goodies,’ store director Kuldip Dosanjh explained.

‘We are aiming to make people in the local area aware of eye diseases and the importance of taking care of your eyes’, Kuldip Dosanjh continued. ‘We urge people in Ripley to pop into the store and speak to us.’

The Ripley Hospital Eye Clinic deals with issues such as neuro-ophthalmology, glaucoma and cataracts.
