Evesham Specsavers continues its support of local Food Bank

The team at Specsavers Evesham is calling on residents to continue donating non-perishable items and emergency food supplies for their local food bank following a great response during its first month.

The store collection point was set up in May in partnership with Caring Hands in the Vale, an outreach project that aims to support individuals and families in the local community, and has already received several donations.

Making a difference

Store director, Amy Liau, comments: ‘We are so grateful to our customers for their generosity and support of Caring Hands, as well as their support for our local community. The food collected will really make a difference for those in need, so we urge people to continue to visit the store to make donations.’

Customers are encouraged to donate tinned and jarred foods, dried pasta, rice, soups, biscuits and other long-life items.

Caring Hands in the Vale has been operating since July 2003, and seeks to relieve poverty in the area through various means. The charity distributes hundreds of emergency food parcels throughout the year to those in desperate need, and relies on public donations to help individuals and families in the community.
