An optical assistant at Specsavers St Andrews has been utilising her hobby to help raise funds for WWF and those affected by the Australian bushfires.
Caroline Shelton, who runs the small business Kristaleria in her spare time, is selling hand-painted glassware with a unique koala, kangaroo and heart symbol. The limited-edition glasses named ‘hope’ are priced at £10 with £8 from every purchase going towards WWF.
Caroline said: 'The koala and kangaroo symbols are synonymous with Australia and creating this design was a small gesture I could make to raise funds to support the work of WWF and help with the devastation in Australia.'
Proud to show support
Julia Campbell, store director at Specsavers St Andrews, said: 'Caroline has such a thoughtful nature and is a fantastic asset to our store team. She has a wonderful talent for intricate designs painted on glassware and it’s lovely to see her utilising that to raise money for charity – we’ve proud to show our support for Caroline.'
