Epsom optician celebrated 20 years of service
Celebrations in sight for an Epsom Specsavers optician.
Wendy Bowles who has been an optical assistant at the Specsavers store in Epsom for a total of 20 years of service, has been rewarded for her dedication by the store directors with a red letter day, chocolates and Champagne.
Wendy has some great memories from her time in store, from helping to save the sight of some of her customers, hosting various charity fundraising days, and delivering specs to elderly customers who were unable to come in to store to collect them.
Wendy said: ‘I joined the store 20 years ago full of aspirations and I have not been disappointed. I’ve built up great relationships with many of our regular customers, made some great friendships and helped whole generations of families with their eye care needs.'
Never a dull moment
‘There's never been a dull moment and I have seen the store go from strength to strength. I honestly can’t believe where the time has gone. I can remember my first day here like it was yesterday. I feel very lucky to work with such a great team and great customers.’
As well as marking Wendy’s long service, the store has also received its fourth customer service award in a row. In part due to Wendy's dedication to the opticians team.
