A member of staff from the Hexham store is set to take part in the Great North Run in aid of a deserving cause.

Supervisor and trainee dispensing option, Emily Cruise, is completing the half marathon to generate funds for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

The event takes place on Sunday 8 September, starting in Newcastle city centre and finishing on the coast in South Shields.

Supporting a vital cause
Emily is hoping to raise as much as she can for the charity. She said: ‘I’m very excited to take part in the Great North Run on behalf of such a vital charity that helps people with sight loss all over the UK.

‘I’ve been training for months and I’m looking forward to crossing the finishing line on Sunday.

‘There’s still time to stop by the store and make a donation. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported the cause so far, helping me raise more than £350 to date.’

The Great North Run is the biggest half marathon in the UK with approximately 57,000 runners taking part.
