This Road Safety Week, Specsavers Ellesmere Port has pledged to do its bit to keep children safe while out and about after dark. The opticians is reaching out to local schools and groups such as Brownies, Guides and Scouts who may be able to make use of high-visibility vests.

Children walking home in the dark

At this time of year with the dark mornings and nights, combined with increasingly wintry weather, it can be difficult for motorists to see pedestrians. Many children are walking home from school at dusk, which is a particularly hazardous time.

High visibility vests

Specsavers is pledging its commitment to road safety by providing high-visibility vests, which will improve the safety of children when out and about by making it easier for motorists to spot them.

Get in touch

The store has high-visibility vests available to donate. Please get in touch if you or your group could make use of them.
