A local opticians hosted an egg-citing competition this Easter to raise vital funds for charity.
Local residents in Northallerton were invited to the Specsavers store on High Street to celebrate the Easter holidays and raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
By donating 50p, visitors had a chance to win a bunny rabbit and his Easter egg.
A young patient from Northallerton won the competition and together with the local community, the team at Specsavers managed to raise £60 for the charity on the day.
An ongoing partnership
The store has also pledged to raise money for the cause throughout 2015 and has so far managed to raise a total of over £600.00.
A word from the director
Ruth Bargate, store director at Specsavers in Northallerton, said: ‘It’s always lovely to see the local community get involved in the activities we put on in-store – and it’s great to be able to combine something fun with raising money for such an important charity as the British Heart Foundation.’
