Easter eggs for sick children
Evelina London Children’s Hospital
London opticians teamed up with a local supermarket to donate more than 150 Easter eggs to Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
155 Easter Eggs
During the week leading up to Good Friday staff from Specsavers, located at 6-17 Tottenham Court Road, and the nearby Sainsbury’s Local bought 155 Easter eggs to donate to the hospital. On Easter Sunday, Bhini Parasram and Doyin Oyegoke from Specsavers delivered the eggs, as well as goody bags containing a Specsavers kids magazine, stickers and balloons, to the 126 children at the hospital.
Doyin, administrator at Specsavers on Tottenham Court Road, says: ‘This was truly an amazing experience for Bhini and I. To see the children's faces light up when we presented their Easter eggs and goody bags was such a humbling experience.
‘All of the staff and parents at the hospital were so welcoming and the nurses even allowed us to take over their unused treatment room with all our goody bags while we made our way round the wards.’
