Dunfermline bakes up a storm in support of Bake for Brake. The opticians in Dunfermline raised almost £100 for the road safety charity.
The charity’s partnership with Specsavers saw the opticians host a bake sale to raise vital funds to support the work the organisation carries out in the community. Staff and customers dug deep into their pockets raising £94.83 for the charity.
Showcasing their great British baking skills, the team created a variety of different treats and cakes to sell during the bake sale.
Andrew Hepburn, store director, was delighted to donate the sum to Brake and said: ‘Our staff donned their aprons to bake some delicious treats in aid of Bake for Brake.
‘The tasty cakes went down a treat with customers – we’d like to thank them for their support. It is a pleasure to support the charity and join forces with it to encourage as many people as possible in the town to have regular eye tests.’
