Staff at Specsavers in Dumfries raised an impressive £670 during the store’s Red Nose Day fundraising.

The store encouraged customers to dig deep in support of Comic Relief at the store’s bake sale on 7 March – and raised £200 from this activity alone - and sold almost 500 pairs of the official Specsavers Red Nose Day glasses. The glasses cost £3 with £1 being donated directly to Comic Relief.

Jill Dickson, store director of Specsavers in Dumfries, said: ‘We’d like to thank all our customers for their support. We're absolutely delighted with the amount raised.

All our staff have had lots of fun making their faces funny for money this Red Nose Day and everyone’s so pleased that we were able to contribute a great amount to Specsavers’ overall total.'
