Dudley Specsavers is changing their currency this festive season, offering free examinations in return for chocolate donations for Russells Hall Hospital.

The team from Specsavers on Castle Street, Dudley is asking those who need an eye examination to bring in a Christmas selection box rather than pay for their sight test.  All collected boxes will then be given to the children’s ward at Russells Hall Hospital.  The appeal will run from now until 22 December 2016.

A word from the store director

Gurdeep Dosanjh, store director at Specsavers in Dudley said: ‘Christmas is the perfect time of the year to involve the local community and give back to those in need. We want to offer some Christmas sparkle and cheer to those who are spending Christmas in hospital, so what better way than with chocolate! We hope to put a smile on these children’s face and brighten their day.

‘We’re asking anyone in need of a sight test to pop in-store and take us up on the offer. Our team will be collecting the chocolate boxes and donating just before Christmas. So, help us bring some joy to these children by getting your eyes tested before the year is out.’
