When an elderly customer needed new glasses from Specsavers in Droitwich, one member of the team pulled out all the stops to assist her patient.

After the customer’s daughter brought the prescription into the store, she highlighted her concerns that her mother – who suffers from Alzheimer’s – couldn’t be present at the dispense. As a result, team member Rebecca Marvin chose to take time out of work to visit the customer and fit her new frames.

‘We always do our best to provide our customers with the best service possible and we’re so proud to have Rebecca on the team,’ said Emma Singh, store director. ‘She really did go above and beyond to make sure this elderly customer was well looked after, even taking the time to have a chat and help brush her hair.’

Once she had ensured the specs were fitted correctly, Rebecca also spent time with her the customer’s lead carer and labelled both sets of specs to ensure that she’s wearing the right pair at the right time.
