Droitwich Specsavers have collected 75 gift boxes in aid of international relief initiative, Operation Christmas Child, run by charity Samaritans Purse.

For the second year in a row, the team at Specsavers in St Andrews Square called on the local community to support the cause which sends shoeboxes full of Christmas gifts around the world to children in need.

The collection was a great success and store director Emma Singh is delighted with the outcome: ‘We are so pleased to hand over these gift boxes to Samaritans Purse. They will distribute them around the world and give them to children in need this Christmas. Thank you to the Droitwich community for showing your generosity this festive season, we appreciate the support – this kind gesture will cause such a positive impact on these children.’
