Local pupils; Eight year old Kiera Fennell, from Mercy Primary School and 11 year old Eve Killic from Hazelwood Integrated Primary school in Newtownabbey, have each won £100 worth of book vouchers for their schools from their local Specsavers store, thanks to entering a book review to NI4Kids Magazine.

A prize review

Kiera reviewed Liberty and Dream Ride by Stacey Gregg and Eve Killic reviewed a Library of Lemons by Jo Cotterill. Both reviews appeared in the popular NI4Kids Magazine’s Reading Corner, which is sponsored by Specsavers in Northern Ireland.

A great initiative to get reading

Store director Tony McGinn said ‘Specsavers is delighted to support the NI4Kids Reading Corner, it is a great initiative to ensure children are reading as much as they can, enjoying a wide variety of books and stories.’

Over the next year, NI4Kids will feature a book review every month linked to one of the 18 Specsavers stores in Northern Ireland. The writer will receive a £10 book voucher, and £100 Scholastic book vouchers for their school.
