Specsavers Dorchester were keen to draw attention to eyecare charity Vision Aid Overseas during National Eye Health Week (21 to 27 September).

Thousands of people without eyecare

The store asked customers to search their homes for old specs to donate to the charity. Specsavers Dorchester store director, John Molesworth said: ‘There are thousands of people in developing countries who don’t have access to high quality eyecare, so it’s vital we continue to support charities like Vision Aid Overseas.

National Eye Health Week

‘During National Eye Health Week, we asked people to bring in their old specs so they could be recycled and sold for proceeds to go towards the charity.’
