A group of Greenock optical experts braved a sea of bubbles to complete a 5k fun run in aid of a local hospice.
Six team members from Specsavers in Greenock raised a total of £191 for the town’s Ardgowan Hospice by completing the Bubble Rush at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. Unusually, the 5k route began in a sea of bubbles and featured four bubble stations, complete with cannons pumping out colourful foam.
Claire Kincaid, director of Specsavers in Greenock, said: ‘This is our second year taking on the Bubble Rush, but it was just as fun this time around. It was a really special day as we brought our kids along and, for most of them, it was their first experience of a 5k.
‘We’re delighted to have raised such a fine sum for this very special cause, which has touched the lives of so many families in Inverclyde.’
Ardgowan Hospice is a compassionate place of care for people living in Inverclyde who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, such as cancer, heart failure, lung disease, kidney failure or neurological conditions.
