Children in Burton-on-Trent will be more visible when they are out and about, thanks to their local Specsavers.

The store has donated 100 high visibility jackets to children at Richard Wakefield School. Some of the pupils visited the team in early February when the vests were handed over.

The children were also presented with a goodie bag each and given a tour of the pre-testing room to give an insight into what happens during an eye test.

A word from the store director

‘It was great fun to have the children from Richard Wakefield School come to see us,’ said store director, Linda Joyce. ‘They were so full of energy and really enjoyed seeing the testing room. It’s reassuring to know that the hi-vis vests will help them be seen more clearly.’
