Donate books and DVDs to help Connor

12 October, 2015

Specsavers in Cheltenham is appealing for donations of books, DVDs and puzzles to support a local fundraising campaign.

Nearly new sale

The Cheltenham store is looking for good quality items for a nearly new stall to raise funds towards an electric wheelchair for five-year-old Connor Ventris-Field.  Connor, from Longlevens, lives with cerebral palsy and epilepsy after he was born 15 weeks early and suffered a bleed on the brain.

A week of fundraising

The team will also be hosting a week of fundraising activities in store between 10 – 17 October including a cake bake, a pedometer challenge and prize competitions.

Melanie Brackstone, store director at Specsavers in Cheltenham, said: ‘Our nearly new sales have been very popular in the past and by donating unwanted items, the Cheltenham public can help us to raise vital funds that will make a big difference to a little boy’s life.’
