It’s a rosy day in Didcot for Breast Cancer Care
Specsavers manager, Adela Garcia, is to take on a 20-mile walk in a beautiful Oxfordshire setting as she raises money for Breast Cancer Care.
She will take part in the charity’s 11th Pink Ribbonwalk on Saturday 9 May to help raise awareness of the cause which provides support to people affected by breast cancer.
‘I took part in the 10-mile Pink Ribbonwalk for the first time last year and really enjoyed the experience,’ said Adela, who has worked at the store since March 2005. ‘This time I’ll be taking on the 20-mile route and hope to raise as much money as possible for Breast Cancer Care.’
Breast Cancer Care is a national charity which supports people affected by breast cancer. They combine personal experiences with clinical expertise to provide information and offer emotional and practical support. The annual event at Blenheim Palace offers routes of 5, 10 and 20 miles which follow oak-lined private tracks through the grounds of Blenheim Palace, before taking in sights such as the River Glyme and Ditchley House.
