Specsavers in Reigate took part in a Minions fundraising day

Staff at Specsavers in Reigate got into the fundraising spirit in aid of a local special needs school by hosting a Despicable Me-themed fundraising drive in store.

Minions-themed fundraiser

The team decorated the store with Minions balloons and raised £110 for Brooklands School by offering glasses MOTs to customers in return for a donation, as well as handing out stickers to children. The activity coincided with the launch of the new children’s Minions frames range in store.

Thanks from the director

Reigate store director, Aashish Shah, said: ‘Our Minions day was a huge success and we are very grateful to everyone who donated to the cause.

‘It was great to see everyone coming together on the day and having fun in store and we hope that the money we raised will make a difference. We will also continue fundraising for Brooklands School over the Christmas period so would welcome further donations in store.’

Brooklands is a primary school for pupils with severe and complex needs including autism aged 2-11.
