Store director, David Perrigo, put his best foot forward in the Cardiff Half Marathon last month, raising nearly £200 for Cancer Research UK in the process.
Hard work pays off
This was David’s first half marathon and he was delighted to pound the pavement in aid of charity, ‘Running a half marathon for charity was such a great experience, and it makes the training all worthwhile. I have only just started running and I managed to complete the course in under two hours, so those early morning running sessions certainly paid off,’ said David. ‘Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support the fundraising effort!’
Cancer Research UK is a research and awareness charity funded by generous donations and public support to help scientists, doctors and nurses find a cure for cancer.
