Dagenham celebrates a successful 2016
Dagenham Specsavers continued to flourish in 2016 after celebrating its second year in new premises and picking up a host of prestigious business accolades.
Having gained Platinum Employer accreditation, the phenomenal store is one of the first in London to achieve the Specsavers initiative aiming to deliver tangible business results through investing time and effort in their people.
The Dagenham store also won the ‘highest glasses satisfaction’ and ‘highest contact lens satisfaction’ awards for London stores at the Specsavers Management Seminar. Store manager, Remi Anderson, was presented with the two awards by the company’s co-founder, Dame Mary Perkins.
The team have also continued to increase their specialist optom knowledge with Rohima Uddin completing her Optometry degree, Ryan Well passing his apprenticeship, Clare Hasler becoming a qualified dispensing optician, Sukhi Biring passed cert 4 and Wunmi Olakehinde passed her cert 3. In addition to this, both Gurjit Singh Sehmi and Rizwan Aswat are now MECS qualified Optoms.
2016 also saw the Dagenham store welcome seven new members of staff, including four optical assistants, a pre-registration optometrist, a trainee contact lens optician, and an apprentice.
