Staff at Specsavers in Inverness take on charity cycle challenge
Big-hearted customers at Specsavers in Inverness have dug deep, raising cash to help vulnerable people in both the UK and the world's poorest countries.
A fun sports day was held in the store, raising £80 for Sports Relief from generous donations by customers, staff and visitors.
The event included a sponsored cycle, where three dedicated members of staff cycled a spin bike for the entire day.
All staff wore sports gear and handed out healthy snacks to customers.
Proceeds from a bake sale added to the fundraising pot, giving customers a tasty treat.
Andy Carr, store director said: ‘Our customers and staff did a fantastic job raising funds for Sport Relief and should all be proud of themselves.
‘A special thank you has to go to our three staff members who kept up the sporting momentum by cycling in store for more than eight hours. The girls deserve a big pat on the back for their commendable efforts.’
