Cumbrian man wins new camera
Michael, aged 61, overcame strong competition to walk away with a brand new Sony Cybershot digital camera worth £350.
Entrants were asked to send in images that represent the season of either autumn or winter. It was up to the individual photographer whether they submitted a conventional image or took a more unusual approach to the theme.
Michael is delighted with his new camera
Mr Walsh says: ‘I am a keen photographer and thought this would be a fun competition to enter.
‘Winter is a picturesque time of year and I am delighted Specsavers appreciated the pictures I sent in. I would like to say a big thank you to Specsavers for my new camera – I have already managed to snap some amazing pictures on it.’
David Nicolson, store director at both Specsavers Workington and Whitehaven, says: ‘We were extremely impressed by the volume of stunning photographs we received during this competition.
‘Michael’s images just stood out that little bit more which is why he was selected as the winner. I would like to thank everyone who entered this competition and we wish Mr Walsh all the best with his new camera.’
