Croydon opticians support Children in Need

Pudsey fever came to Croydon, with the town’s eyecare experts raising a four figure sum for the Children in Need appeal.

Eyecare experts from Specsavers stores in Croydon North End and Church Street hosted a special prize raffle and family fun day, which generated £1043 for the cause.

A word from the store 

Alison Gaskin of Specsavers in Croydon said: ‘We are thrilled to have surpassed our £1000 fundraising target and are very grateful for the support of our wonderful community in making this happen. Children in Need is one of our nation’s most cherished charities and we’re proud to have championed the cause in the borough.’

More than 20 prizes were scooped at the family fun day, including single vision specs from Specsavers, a meal for two at Cadillac Diner, four tickets to Cinderella at Fairfield Halls and a chocolate hamper. Prize and teddy tombolas also took place.
