Croydon eyecare experts celebrated long service
Optical specialists in Croydon recognised more than two centuries of collective service.
21 members of the team from Specsavers in Croydon Church Street and Croydon North End were honoured for their cumulative 233 years with the high street opticians.
Those recognised were team members Wendy and Jan, each with 18 years of service; Dwayne, with 16; Eileen, with 15; Ann-Marie, Helen and Madhu, each with 13; Anisha, Mandy, Seema and Nirisha, each with 12; Nikki, Shaheda, Georgina and Alison, each with 10; Michael and Anna, each with eight; Sherise, with seven; Mina, with six; and Ushma and Ansuri, each with five.

Bill Pennell, store director at Specsavers in Croydon North and and Church Street, said: ‘Each of our awardees has over a decade of service, on average. This is a huge achievement and shows a remarkable level of commitment to our community. As director of the stores, I’m very proud to have such an experienced team around me, and I’d like to congratulate everyone for their reaching their own personal service milestones.’
