This National Apprenticeship Week (February 3-7) Specsavers in Crouch End has been encouraging people to sign up to the apprenticeship programmes on offer at the store.
There are several different apprenticeship opportunities available at the store, one of which has been taken up by Devon Murray, who has been with Specsavers for the last 3 months and lives in Crouch End.
A bit about Devon
He says: ‘I was previously doing an apprenticeship in business admin, but it didn’t give me enough interaction with customers. Now I am with Specsavers I am able to progress these skills.’
I like the opportunity to give customers the best possible service. I have had some feedback from a customer recently and knowing I made someone’s day through offering the best customer service is what I love about the job.
Staff think he is great
Rajiv Kotecha, optometrist director at Specsavers Crouch End, says: ‘Devono has no optical experience yet has quickly become one of our top team members. He is really proactive and always wanting to learn and help the customers. The Specsavers apprenticeship programmes are a great way to begin a rewarding and successful career. As long as you’re a hard worker, punctual and ambitious you will do well at Specsavers and there is plenty of opportunity to continue with your development.’
