25 April, 2014

Specsavers in Cowley has been a staple part of the local high street for almost 15 years. Store directors Jason Komodikis and Ajay Kaura, along with a team of 16, pride themselves on offering the best possible eyecare service.

Community

‘We place huge importance on our role within the local community and having been in Cowley for so long, we have a very loyal customer base,’ says Jason. ‘We want people to see us as the equivalent of their local, friendly GP, and a visit to the optician should form part of their overall health check.’

With competitive parking charges and an out of town location just five minutes from the ring road, the Cowley store is ideally placed to welcome customers.

Jason says; ‘It’s important to us that every customer who walks through the door receives a high level of customer service and we are always looking at ways to enhance the experience. Our location offers an accessible alternative to the city centre with good transport links while parking is competitive; 70p for two hours, £2 all day and free on Sundays and Bank Holidays.’

Best possible eyecare service

Investing heavily in state-of-the-art equipment, whether it’s part of pre-testing to check field of vision or digital retinal photography which takes a photo of the back of the eye, the store’s optometrists will ensure every sight test gives a complete picture of every customer’s vision. The store also carries out diabetic retinal screening for the hospital.

Customers can also take advantage of a hearing service that is available. Hearing Aid Audiologist Sebastian De Scarfo carries out free comprehensive hearing tests as well as offering advice on the huge range of hearing aids available. Having treated private patients for a number of years, the store is now also able to treat NHS patients under the Any Qualified Provider (AQP) scheme.
