Staff at Specsavers in Cowbridge sponsored and attended a community festival, where they offered free eye health advice to local residents.
The High Street store partnered with the Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival for its 15th anniversary, sponsoring the children’s marquee for the two-day event.
Staff were also on hand to provide goody bags for families, including eye health leaflets for children, as well as crayons, colouring books and sweets.
The annual event, which was first launched in 2004, has grown in popularity and hosts more than 100 stalls of food and drink items, as well as arts, crafts and more.
Supporting its success
Andy Moss, store director at Specsavers in Cowbridge, was one of the team members in attendance at the event.
He says: ‘This festival is the biggest event in Cowbridge’s calendar. As a locally-owned business, we felt it was important for us to do our bit with this sponsorship and support its continued success.
‘As relative newcomers to the town, this event was a great opportunity for us to get out of our store environment and meet both members of the public and other retailers and service providers who work in the area.’
