Countdown to grand unveiling of brand new Coatbridge store
Specsavers will soon open its doors and welcome customers to a new bigger and better store on Coatbridge Main Street.
The local opticians has expanded and relocated to a significantly larger unit near its previous location on the busy High Street, representing a £500,000 investment and the creation of six new jobs.
Work has been underway since early February and the new-look store will be unveiled on Thursday 7 April.
The changes made at the new store have been based on customer feedback. Relocating to a much larger unit means the downstairs shop floor space has trebled, making it more accessible to customers and enabling more extensive services to be provided.
Two extra test rooms have been created in the new store, with all rooms fully equipped with the latest technology and equipment. More advanced services will be available in Coatbridge as the relocation also marks the launch of a dedicated hearing centre within the store, with one of the new test rooms soundproofed and fitted with state-of-the-art hearing facilities.
In addition, with vastly increased floor space, Specsavers Coatbridge will be able to display a wider variety of glasses from all ranges including its designer collections, giving visitors a better selection of specs to choose from.
Finalising the move
Disruption to customers has been kept to an absolute minimum during the relocation. In order to finalise the move, Specsavers Coatbridge with be closed for just four days, from Sunday 3 to Wednesday 6 April. Full services will be available at Specsavers Airdrie during this time.
Alison Grieve, director of Specsavers in Coatbridge, said: ‘We can’t wait to cut the ribbon on our brand new store and showcase our enhanced services to the local community.
‘Customer feedback is very important to us and we have tried to incorporate our customers’ comments into our plans – including, in particular, making the store more spacious and accessible. We hope that the investment in our new store will improve their experience and encourage more people to visit us regularly.’
The new Specsavers Coatbridge store will be located at 60 Main Street.
