Specsavers in Newcastle-under-Lyme is running a contact lens ‘Big Fit’ weekend (15 and 16 August), so that people can find out more about contact lenses.
The team will be on hand throughout both Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 4pm, to offer help and advice to people considering swapping their specs for contacts. Customers will also be able to make use of Specsavers’ free contact lens trial, ensuring they’re comfortable with contact lenses.
‘Contact lenses are a fantastic alternative to glasses, but the thought of wearing contacts can be a little daunting if you’ve not tried them before,’ said Peter Harvey, store director. ‘We’ll be offering customers the chance to try contacts for free, as well as guiding them through the process of putting them in step-by-step.’
As most prescriptions can be catered for, almost anyone with glasses could wear contact lenses, and with the development of technology in recent years, contacts are now more comfortable to wear than ever before.
Specsavers Newcastle-under-Lyme offers a dedicated contact lens service six days a week, which is headed up by two specialist contact lens fitters.
