The team at Derby Specsavers is putting the focus firmly on contact lenses with a takeover day celebration on Saturday 1 June.
Give lenses a try
Visitors to the store will be able to try out new ranges of contact lenses and learn more about them from experts. There'll be a party atmosphere, with activities and refreshments, and walk-in appointments will be available.
Advances in technology
After being shortlisted in the category for Contact Lens Practice of the Year at the recent Optician Awards, the team is keen to keep up the good work and to highlight advances in contact lenses. Recent breakthroughs in technology mean that contact lenses are now an option for many more people as they’ve become easier to put in and more comfortable. Contact lenses are available in a bigger range of prescriptions, and there are options for sensitive eyes too.
Discounts and extras available
Store director, Uan Gohil, said: ‘Lots of people think they can’t wear contact lenses because of their prescription, and we see many customers who like to go glasses-free for sports or parties. It feels great to be able to tell people that they really can choose contacts now if they prefer.’
‘As an extra incentive to give them a go, we’re offering lots of discounts and added extras throughout June and July - including free eye tests and a 50% discount when you sign up for direct debit payments. Ask our friendly team at the Intu Centre store for more information.’
Eye tests at Specsavers in Derby usually cost £25 and include a check using a high-tech scanner which allows optometrists to see a 3D image of the eye. With regular check-ups, it means any changes in the eye can be picked up before they start to become a problem.
