Specsavers in Consett donned their Christmas jumpers and raised cash for the RNIB

Staff from Specsavers located on Middle Street donned their festive knits in exchange for a donation to their chosen charity the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) on Christmas Jumper Day 2016.

Incredible work

Specsavers Consett store director, Gary Baker said: ‘Nothing says Christmas more than a fun and festive jumper. What better way to support the incredible work the RNIB does in providing support to the two million people in the UK living with a sight loss significant enough to impact their daily lives.

‘Every 15 minutes someone loses their sight in the UK and they need emotional and practical support to continue to live independently and with confidence. We hope that by showing off our festive pullover power we can raise both awareness and money for the RNIB and enable them to continue to support people affected by sight loss all year round.’
