Guess the bear competition helps Hamilton Down’s Syndrome theatre group
Staff at Specsavers in Hamilton hosted an in store Guess the bear’s birthday competition to raise money for local drama group Ups and Downs Theatre Company. Lucky local lady Isabella Boyle went home with a stylish new friend after scooping a bespectacled teddy bear prize.
Customers got the chance to guess when the teddy bear was born in exchange for a small donation to the group – and Mrs Boyle was the lucky winner.
Ups and Downs - a drama group for children and adults with Down’s Syndrome – took the Community Champion title at the Sunday Mail Great Scot Awards, sponsored by Specsavers, last year.
Specsavers Hamilton store director Emma Foster said: ‘Ups and Downs is a fantastic organisation and we want to help them in every way we can.
‘We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the competition.’
