Community opticians celebrate 28 years of service
Celebrations were in sight for two members of staff from Barnet Specsavers.
Pragna Raghwani, store director and Sajida Gitay, optical assistant and clinic coordinator at the Specsavers store in Barnet, have clocked up a combined total of 28 years of service with Specsavers.
Pragna and Sajida both have some great memories from their time in store, from helping to save the sight of some of their customers, hosting a red day in store in aid of the British Heart Foundation, and delivering specs to elderly customers who were unable to come in to store to collect them.
Hopes and aspirations
Pragna says: ‘I took over the store full of aspirations and I have not been disappointed. There is never a dull moment and I have seen the store go from strength to strength. I feel very lucky to have such a great team and great customers.’
Sajida, who has worked at the store for 12 years, continues: ‘I honestly can’t believe where the time has gone. I can remember my first day here like it was yesterday. I’m on first name terms with lots of our customers and I can’t help but wonder what I’ll be doing in the next 12 years, but I hope to see lots of familiar faces in store.’
