Clifton Specsavers enlisted the help of their finest bakers to whip up a frenzy of sweet treats for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), raising more than £130.

The store hosted a bake sale in the Clifton Down Shopping Centre on Saturday 15 October, inviting customers and passers-by to pop in and treat themselves to some homemade goodies all in the name of charity.

A word from the store director

We are so glad with the outcome of Saturday,’ said delighted store director Chris Child. ‘Our team channelled their inner Mary Berry and baked a whole range of tasty treats and sweet delectables for the day. A big thank you to everyone who came and supported the cause. It’s always great to have local support, and we are very lucky to have loyal customers that contribute to all our fundraising activities.

‘We are donating all proceeds from the day to the Royal National Institute of Blind People, a charity that offers invaluable support to those suffering from sight loss. We hope this money can help them to continue to make a difference in the community.’
