Clifton team get moving for Sports Relief
The team at Clifton Specsavers has raised more than £200 for Sport Relief by taking part in a charity walk.
For their spec-tacular fundraising day, the team swapped their specs for running shoes as they walked the distance to Bath – equivalent to 14 miles. Using a treadmill outside the store, the team was spurred on by customers as they completed the distance and raised £211 for the charity.
‘Our fundraising day was so much fun and we’re delighted with the amount of money we were able to raise for Sport Relief,’ said Chris Child, store director. ‘The team did a great job to walk the distance to Bath and it was a fantastic way to highlight the link between healthy lifestyles and healthy vision, while also raising some money for charity.’
Sport Relief brings people together to get active, raise money and change lives. The money raised is spent by sister charity Comic Relief to tackle the root causes of poverty and social injustice, both in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.
