Clacton bake mad for guide dogs
Staff from Specsavers Clacton-on-Sea put on a spread of delicious baked treats to raise money for the Guide Dogs charity.
The store spent the week selling cupcakes and running fantastic competitions offering customers a chance to win designer glasses in exchange for donations to support the local pups charity. Specsavers, located at 13 Station Road, decorated the store in canine memorabilia, balloons and banners to show their support and raise awareness in the community.
Help the charity
Customers also had the chance to win a delicious treat and a £125 designer glasses voucher if they were able to guess the weight of a giant guide dogs cake. The store have also been selling the official Guide Dogs charity ‘paw print’ badges form which all proceeds will also go to help the charity.
Store Director, Lee Holcombe, says: ‘We have really enjoyed supporting the dog charity again this year. It’s been great to see our customers getting involved and helping us to raise money for the charity. ‘It is easy to forget the vital work that the charity does for the blind and visually impaired so this week has also been a great opportunity to remind people and celebrate their incredible efforts.’
