The Specsavers team in Exeter is encouraging budding young designers to get creative with an Easter-themed colouring competition. The opticians are asking primary school children to create their own Easter egg, with the winner receiving an art kit and other Easter goodies.
Staff are setting up a designated area within the high street store for children to colour in their own designs which will be displayed on a special Easter-themed wall.
Jonathan Baumber, store director said: 'We are really looking forward to seeing the children’s creations and we hope to uncover the next generation of budding artists! It’s also a great opportunity for children to visit us in store and learn about the importance of eye health and the benefits of eye examinations from an early age.'
The closing date for the competition is Friday 18 April and the winner will be announced on Saturday 19 April.
The Exeter store is also celebrating the start of Specsavers’ two free pairs promotion, which allows children to qualify for one pair of glasses free from the NHS and a second pair from Specsavers which is also free of charge.
