Chesterfield Specsavers wear their Jeans for Genes Day
Staff at Chesterfield Specsavers dressed in their favourite denims recently, raising over £50 for charity Genetic Disorders UK.
The annual Jeans for Genes day is an iconic fundraising campaign that raises money to help support a range of initiatives that improve the lives of children affected by genetic disorders.
With between 4,000 and 6,000 diagnosed genetic disorders, one in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder. Jeans for Genes Day helps to increase awareness, and raise money to help improve the quality of life of children affected by genetic disorders.
Vicki Bainbridge, store director at Chesterfield Specsavers, said: ‘As a store we all really enjoy getting involved and doing what we can to raise money for great causes. We’d like to extend a huge thanks to all our generous customers who helped us to support the vital research and work that is carried out by Genetic Orders UK.’
