The team at Cheltenham Specsavers took part in a community children’s event over the Bank Holiday weekend to support activities designed to help youngsters learn, play and interact.
Members of the team ran a number of activities designed to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and upcycling. Children were also invited to play a game which involved thinking about and using their five senses. Hundreds of goody bags and frisbees were handed out and prizes were awarded to the winners of an art competition that ran throughout the day.
A word from the store director
‘This was a great opportunity for us to engage with the local community on activities that will help children to develop their skills and confidence, while still having lots of fun,’ said store director, Melanie Brackstone. ‘The themes for the day were broadly centred around technology, music, healthy living, outdoor play, telling stories and the five senses, where we were able to share our expertise on eye and ear health.’
