Charity tribute night helps smash fundraising target
The Little Princess Trust has benefitted to the tune of more than £3,300 thanks to a fun filled evening of Take That songs performed by a tribute band in Hereford.
Rule the World took to the stage at The Left Bank in front of a packed audience who danced the night away to hits including Could It Be Magic and Back for Good. The event which was organised by Specsavers on Maylord Street to raise money for the Hereford-based charity that provides real hair wigs to children suffering from cancer, raised £3,336. This has been added to money raised from other events this year to make more than £6,000.
Store director, Nialle Smith was absolutely delighted with the results: ‘It was a fantastic evening - everyone had a great time. Rule the World put on a fantastic show and we are absolutely thrilled to have surpassed our original fundraising target of £5,500. We’d like to say a very big thank you to everyone who came along on the night and had fun while raising such a huge amount of money, it’s going to make a massive difference to the charity.’
The Little Princess Trust
As a result of treatment for cancer, most children will suffer hair loss as a side effect. Some boys and girls cope remarkably well but, for others, this can be very upsetting. The Little Princess Trust works with specialist suppliers and experienced hairdressers who offer wigs tailored to the individual child’s needs to give the most realistic look and feel, as close as possible to their original hair.
