Charity specs donations on the rise at Barnet opticians
Eyecare experts from Specsavers in Barnet have collected 315 pairs old specs for charity in the first half of 2016.
The team from the store in High Street, Barnet have an annual campaign in aid of Specsavers charity partner, Vision Aid Overseas.
The charity receives and recycles old and unwanted specs to help fund eyecare services for those less fortunate overseas.
A word from the store director
Pragna Raghwani, director of Specsavers in Barnet, said: ‘The Barnet community are very generous towards our Vision Aid Overseas appeal. So much so, in 2016, we have amassed more than 300 pairs of specs already.
‘At this rate, we look set to surpass the 600 mark this year, which is just wonderful! It’s fantastic to see these old frames put to good use.’
