When the Surrey FA told Specsavers that FA Youth Cup holders, Chelsea U18’s would come to its new Meadowbank Football Ground for their launch event in July, the Surrey stores were excited. But to make the news even better, they suggested a match is laid on free of charge and donations raised from the public could go to one of Specsavers supported charities - the RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind people)
The Blues, who won The FA Youth Cup for a joint-record fifth time this year, will be entertaining Oxford United U18’s in a game that will kick-off on July 16th at 7.30pm in Dorking.
Entry to the game is completely free of charge. See www.surreyfa.com for more details.

The brand new, state-of-the-art facility has become the new home for grassroots football in Surrey with coaches, referees, players and volunteers all set to benefit from the event space and 3G football pitch.
“Not only are we proud to be showcasing our brand new football facilities with such an eye-catching game, we’re also very pleased to be able to support RNIB as a result,” said Caroline McRoyall, Surrey FA Chief Executive. “It’ll be a fantastic night of football, with the country’s best young talent on show, and we can’t wait to celebrate our new home with our partners, whilst supporting such a worthy cause.”
