Specsavers Chandler’s Ford is now open for business – and the new Mayor of Eastleigh popped down to join in with the fun on launch day.

The new store, in Winchester Road, was delighted to welcome Councillor Darshan Mann in one of his first engagements since being elected Mayor this May.

Freebies in store

Customers were welcomed with cupcakes and giveaways, and were also offered a free eye test voucher.

Store directors Minal Thaker and Amy Jenkins also run Specsavers Eastleigh, and are delighted to be right at the heart of the Chandler's Ford community in the old NatWest bank building.

A word from Minal

Minal said: ‘We would like to thank the Mayor for coming down to officially open our new store, and to all our customers – old and new – for making us feel so welcome in Chandler’s Ford.

‘We are delighted to have opened this new store, as it allows us to bring our experience and service much closer to the local community. So if you have not had an eye or hearing test for a while, or just fancy checking out our great range of glasses, why not pop in and see us.’
