Specsavers stores across the Central South region have been recognised for their excellent performance at a national awards ceremony.

The Specsavers 2014 Excellence Awards saw stores across the country commended for their work in various categories. But it was the Central South region which sparkled, winning the ‘Excellence in the Region’ category. The award recognised the commitment of the region’s directors in providing an excellent service to its customers and their overall performance throughout the year.

‘This award represents the commitment and engagement of all directors,’ said Stephen Auty, Regional Chairman. ‘Eighteen months ago we were not in the same place. It’s been quite a journey, and it’s helped us to achieve our performance.’

The glamorous awards evening, which was compered by comedian Bradley Walsh, took place on Saturday 6 December at Birmingham’s ICC. Besides congratulating the winning teams, more than 1,000 guests were treated to performances by dance troup Mini Moves and comedy act The Noise Next Door.

The Central South region spans from as far north as Ludlow to southern town Street, and the west coast's Burnham-on-Sea to Aylesbury.
